Şirin Kurt, born and raised in Iran, completed her higher education in the Department of Italian Translation and Interpreting in University in Tehran_Iran.

Following her higher education, Şirin Kurt started working as a local staff at the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Tehran. After leaving Tehran due to her husband’s job, she worked as an Interpreter, Protection Expert and Consultant in Türkiye and Greece within the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the International Labor Organization (ILO).
